A more personal, guided process for books that carry memory, expertise, reputation, and lasting meaning.

Thoughtful book development, informed by over 20 years in design.

Books for the ideas you want remembered

I help founders, professionals, memoir authors, and individuals with meaningful personal projects turn important manuscripts into finished books with care, precision, and strong creative direction. From editorial coordination to design, formatting, and publishing guidance, each project is shaped to reflect the substance of the work and the presence of the person behind it.

From book direction to finished edition

A meaningful book involves more than one step. I guide each project from its overall direction through cover design, interior design, formatting, and the materials that help present it well. Editorial work is supported through a trusted editor, so the book can be shaped with care at every stage. The result is a book that feels complete, visually consistent, and carefully prepared from beginning to end.

Who this is for, and who it is not

A more personal, guided process is not meant for every kind of project. It works best for authors who want a book developed with care, substance, and close attention from beginning to end.

This is for

✓ Authors with a manuscript, message, or life story that matters deeply to them
✓ Founders, consultants, retired professionals, and experts who want a book that reflects substance, presence, and personal significance
✓ Memoir and legacy clients who want a more personal process and careful attention
✓ People who value good judgment, thoughtful guidance, and not having to manage several moving parts on their own

This is not for

✓ Authors looking for the cheapest possible route
✓ Clients who need a book turned around in two weeks
✓ People who want to control every technical detail themselves
✓ Authors mainly focused on fast publishing, aggressive Amazon tactics, or high-volume release strategies

A more guided path, shaped to the book

Not every manuscript needs the same level of development. Some books need strong design and a clear publishing path. Others call for deeper coordination, editorial support, or a more personal process from beginning to end. The editions below are designed to reflect that difference, so each project can receive the level of care it actually needs.

Signature Edition

For authors who want a professionally designed, publication-ready book with clear guidance from manuscript to finished edition.

✓ Interior design and formatting
✓ Publishing guidance through the production process
✓ Amazon A+ Content for a stronger retail presentation

This is the core guided book package. It is for authors who want the book handled properly from manuscript to finished edition, with design, structure, and practical publishing support brought together in one clear process.

Authority Edition

For founders, professionals, academics, and experts who want a polished book that supports credibility, visibility, and a stronger professional presence.

Best for: business books, expert nonfiction, thought leadership, and books tied to consulting, speaking, or authority building.

This edition treats the book not only as something to publish, but as part of a larger professional presence. It combines the book itself with the online materials that help it appear more complete, credible, and ready to support your work.

Legacy Edition

For memoirs, family histories, and personal books that require greater sensitivity, structure, and attention to photographs, documents, and archival material.

Best for: memoirs, family histories, commemorative books, and private editions of lasting personal meaning.

Typically includes

✓ Cover design for print and digital editions
✓ Interior design and formatting
✓ Publishing guidance and production oversight
✓ Careful integration of photographs, captions, timelines, or documents
✓ Thoughtful organization of personal or archival material
✓ A more hands-on and carefully paced process

This edition is designed for books that carry emotional weight, family history, or private significance. The process is more personal and more carefully managed, so the material can be shaped with tact, clarity, and respect.

TESTIMONIALS

Truly, truly amazing working with Nada on my book cover! This is the second book she’s completed for me, and the experience was identically effortless and amazing. Not only does she possess incredible artistic talent and industry knowledge of trends and sound design principles, but she also is very welcoming of feedback, allows for revisions, and is always timely, polite, and honestly just a pleasure to work with. I’ll be returning to her for all my future books!

Nada is an outstanding designer and consummate professional. She guides you through the entire process of developing a professional looking, original book cover design and assembles all the essential elements that it’s comprised of. She spends time understanding your brief and through a unique dialogue refined it until it not only meets your original requirements but delights you as well. And who doesn’t want to be delighted by a design? Isn’t that what art is all about?

Glenn Leibowitz, Senior Marketing Strategist at McKinsey

Nada is excellent. We will use her services again, as she brings not only professionalism and creative talent to a project, but her work far exceeds others in the design field (and I say that as a person that has worked in this field for 30 years).!

the Designer Behind Erelis Design

nada-orlic

I am Nada Orlic, the creative director behind Erelis Design, a boutique studio for bespoke book development.

With over 20 years of experience designing books for authors around the world, I now help guide projects from manuscript to finished edition through design, formatting, editorial coordination, and publishing guidance. My approach is personal, thoughtful, and carefully managed, bringing the visual and practical sides of the process together in a more coherent way.

I work especially well with legacy books, expert-led projects, and private editions that carry personal or professional significance. Whether the goal is to preserve a meaningful story or shape a polished book around your ideas and experience, I aim to create something distinctive, well-made, and true to the substance of the work.

When I am not working, you can usually find me with a novel in hand, a sketchbook nearby, or out in nature looking for quiet beauty and detail.
